Born and lives in Santa Clara County, California.

His work was included in the "Botanical Treasures of Lewis and Clark" Exhibit, at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington, D.C., May 19th through July 9th, 2006.

Jerry Smith's sculpture is part of many private collections throughout the country.

Public projects include:
• A bust of CA State Senator, John Vasconcellos
• A casting of "Los Jornaleros", permanently placed in the office of the Mexican Counsel, San Jose, CA
• A second casting of "Los Jornaleros", permanently installed at the Day Worker Center, Morgan Hill, CA
• A recent commissioned bust of architect Julia Morgan, was installed in 2007, in the gardens of the Foothill Club, Saratoga, CA.

Jerry's legal education was at Santa Clara University and University of Virginia; previously served as California State Senator and Justice, California Court of Appeal.
